February

February was Black History Month we had the honor of welcoming Dr. Marvin McGinnis, ACPS Supervisor of Innovation, Learning, and Humanities, and Mr. Thomas Goode, retired Lynchburg Fire Department Battalion Chief and Fire Marshal. They shared their inspiring stories—filled with perseverance, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. Their journeys remind us of the power of resilience, the importance of representation, and the impact one person can make on a community. We are grateful for their time, their wisdom, and the example they set for our students. What an incredible way to end this month of reflection, celebration, and learning. We finished off the event with a sweet treat of ice-cream.
